flash player not working
i have installed adobe flash player 10 in my ubuntu 8.04..but when i play youtube videos and other content requiring flash player it shows a message in youtube "Upgrade to Flash Player 10 for improved playback performance."while in other sites it just shows a blank black screen with no message...i have also tried ubuntu-provided version of adobe flash player..but it also not work.. pls help..

Is your computer a 64 bit machine? if it is the regulare 32 bit flash player will not work even if it says it is installed. You must download and manually install the 64 bit version. The screens you describe sound like you have a 64 bit machine. Vanessa |

I've found the opposite to be true. I use 64-bit firefox. I have good results using the npwrapper plugin, which wraps the 32bit flash player library.

i am having 64-bit processor but i have installed 32-bit ubuntu over it.i am using mozilla firefor browser...thanks for ur replies..
