flash player 7 installed but doesn't works

I have installed flash player 7 but it the documentation at macromedia website it says verify the installation by clicking help>About pluging,

i couldn't find any help>about plug in menu

and i still couldn't able to see flash animated webpages.

i have done this all by root and as a normal user also.

Where did you install it? Generally, if you install as user in this directory:
then it should work. When you extract the Flash file you downloaded, cd to its directory, then issue the following command:
and it will promt you to install in above directory.

i have installed it in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/ as root

and as user in /home/emailssent/.mozilla/plugins

and is cd to directory.
