flac123 and ao device error

recently when i try to run flac123 remotely from an app and from the command line I get a message similar to:

Error opening ao device 3
Error opening "file name"

Any ideas why this happened and how to fix it?

Try it with "-v" (before file name) command-line argument and maybe you'll get a more helpful error message.
