Fix for max users in a group

I have been having a hell of a time trying to convert my Windows users to a RH 8.0 box. I have 1500 users that I want to migrate. Seems there is some sort of problem moving users over. I have found a few links that indicate a problem when there are more than 256 users in a group on Rh 8.0. It also seems that 7.3 and 9.0 don't have this issue. Anybody else have this problem?

I have all the versions now

I am trying it one and for all on the 9.0 machine. According to my vendor it should do what I want. I have invested a lot of time in this and I was just pissed.
