Firmware installation?


Hello, I downloaded some drivers for my wireless card (intel pro\wireless 2915) and it says i need to download the firmware for it. so i did but i have no clue as to where to put the firmware files. any help would be appriciated.

With an editor, take a look at /etc/hotplug/firmware.agent. That's the script responsible for loading the firmware. You should see a variable called FIRMWARE_DIR. The value of this variable is where it expects to find the firmware.
