firestarter/iptables help
For several days now, I've been attempting to use a Fedora Core 3 box as a router/firewall for my home network on my sbc dsl connection. Anyway, I have had no luck so far, from running into bad network cards to not being able to connect. Anyway, I've gotten it so that I can connect to my DSL through a connection named sbc (there's an ifcfg-sbc file), and the second network card is functional as well. I just can't get the routing thing working.
So I found Firestarter for doing the iptables work for me. However, I can't get it to work. When I first run the program, it asks me which device is my internet connected device, but my sbc connection is not a choice in the drop down list. All I see in the list is eth0, eth1, and sit0. How can I get it to see my DSL connection interface?
Or, alternatively, does anyone have a good guide to setting this up with dhcp and dns?
