Firefox Using System Theme Settings (How Do I Fix?)

Ok I installed a thunderbird theme and it worked fine for a while. Then I installed a new gnome theme and the gui got all messed up. I fixed a similar problem with firefox by unchecking a Use System Settings box. However, there is no such option in thunderbird. Anyone know how to disable Use System Settings in thunderbird?
