Firefox Ubuntu 14.04 is just horrible

Anyone else having issues with firefox on ubuntu 14.04? I can't even tell what version it was. It was installed straight from the software center.

It opens soo full, I have no options menu or address bar. The only way to close it is with Alt-F4. It won't remember anything either. It will ask for default setting. Whatever you choose doesn't matter because when you close the browser it will remove all changes.

I have security on my google setup. I go through the pain in the rear of getting google and facebook logged in, and when you close the browser, poof you have to redo everything upon restart.

I've been using chrome because firefox prior to this happening firefox wouldn't print correctly. It would only print the same 3 pages, not what you want.

That said it's not an emergency. I was thinking about going back to it, but it's just such a mess, it's unreal. I delete/reinstall, nothing changes.

that is the normal firefox
the SAME one you will have on windows 7 ,8,8.1
or
fedora ,rhel7, or Debian8 ,or Ubuntu .

the menu on top is easy to get back

r-click the top tool bar and put a check in the "menu" check box

for reverting "tabs on top"
BACK to where they ARE supposed to be

install the plugin
"Classic theme restorer"
