firefox streaming video files?


I have tried to stream mpg, mp3 files on different websites using firefox; but it tells me i need windows media player installed. Since WMP is not for linux, what can i use??

mplayer will play them, though you will also need to install the codecs for them, usually called something like w32 codecs if you install using a package manager.
