firefox startup message that's annoying

When i start firefox from command line as root, a dialog box that says this:

An error occurred while loading or saving configuration information for firefox. Some of your configuration settings may not work properly.

It's not dangerous really, just annoying that I have to deal with it every time. My settings still work tho. Any ideas?

Why the hell would you be running a webbrowser as root? There is absolutely no logical reason for do that in the world.

Absolutely agree with craigevil.
Only managerment or adiministrative work must be done as root privilege. Otherwise you should not using it.
But my FF run smoothly in root privilege. Did you install FF as root?

Look in root's home directory for a directory called .mozilla. In there should be a directory called firefox. Rename the firefox directory, run Firefox again and a new profile will be created. This will tell you if the problem is with Firefox of just root's Firefox profile.

I'll also echo previous responses and ask, why are you running Firefox as root?

I have the same problem once ,But then I solve it like arizonagroovejet said.
But why you want to use firefox as a root ?
