Firefox, Sirius, and Windows Media Player

Hello all,

I have a subscription to Sirius Satellite Radio. They provide streaming audio of their broadcasts over the Internet. XM Radio does the same. The problem is that I use Linux and Firefox and I cannot get their Internet music player to work. It seems that it uses a Windows Media Player plugin. I've tried the XM Radio player and have the same problem. I assume there is some sort of plugin required to make this work; however Firefox cannot find it and just redirects me to www.microsoft.com. Are there any users of satellite radio out there that have gotten this to work correctly? Where might I find this plugin to make this application work?

Thanks for any information.

I'm pretty sure the Plugger http://fredrik.hubbe.net/plugger.html in combination with MPlayer will do.

I know it's an old post, but I'm listening using mplayer and the firefox MediaPlayerConnectivity extension. I get an error about not being able to resolve a location, but it plays. Sounds 'tinny' though.
