[SOLVED] firefox

normally firefox can search within a page with the Find function or Ctrl-F but when visiting a site where their javascript takes over these functions is there a way to force firefox to scroll down to specific text? the problem is that many documentation sites take this over and run a search to find a page with that text ... if the found page is very large then i cannot see what i was looking for ... sites such as https://readthedocs.org/ do this.

I tend to just hit forward slash for search, which I think Firefox is the only browser to do and bases it on vi?

it does not seem to support the 'n' key operation to move to the next occurrence

I think only Ctrl+G works for next, unfortunately.

If jscript takes that shortcut then you can use one present in menu. Well perhaps this may still be present. Last I used firefox was version 22 or something.

Cntrl+G works at least on th mentioned web site.
