firefox/seamonkey start with specific window size and screen position

Is it possible to start either firefox or seamonkey with variable geometry for window size and location, similar to, say,
Code:
xterm -g 80x59+886+0 &

Apparently this can't be done, so I got a new browser that will, partly
Code:
opera -geometry 886x768 www.google.com &
but it positions itself right next to the xterm it was invoked from. Good enough, I guess.

Isn't it the window manager's job?
