firefox problems

I'm running Kubuntu 6.06 with firefox 1.5.5 and I tried to install the acid burn theme from the firefox themes page. It installed and I selected it, quit firefox to start again with the new theme, and now all I get when I start firefox is the briefest glimpse of a window before it shuts down again. I've tried removing the firefox package and reinstalling it, but the problem persists, any ideas on how to get firefox running again?

The correct path is /home/<user name>/.mozilla/firefox

I went through something similar a while back with Thunderbird. Try starting Firefox in safe mode- this disables themes and extensions. Once it's running again, you can remove the theme that's causing you trouble.
To start in safe mode, open a command prompt and type "./firefox -safe-mode" (without the quotes).
