Firefox Plugin Preferences
How can I change the preferred plugin for a file type in Firefox? Mplayer plugin grabbed control of all the real-media types.

Hi,
In Firefox, go to Edit -> Preferences -> Downloads. There is a "File Types" section where you should see the real player file extension. Select it, click on "Change Action" and you will be able to set your preferences there - either have it running in RealPlayer or saved to disc. Hope that helps! Jamie. |
Thanks, jamie. I went to the plugins section and disabled plugins for real player types, and it defaulted back to using the player, so problem solved. For some reason, most of the file types handled by plugins don't appear in the file types dialog-- probably the plugin developers' oversight.
Thanks again for your help. |
