firefox not working in Slackware9.1
 

Can anyone help me cause I'm getting very confused. I run Slackware9.1 (on kde3.2.2) and I guess it works fine, but... I tried to run mozilla firefox, and it just doesn't work! I've downloaded .tar.gz files from firefox.pl & from mizilla.org but the problem is the same: I run it as its said: ./firefox from unpacked directory and I get no messages and no firefox.... Console gives me nothing, working on root also, I've checked permissions, they seems ok, I tried with the packages from linuxpackages.org, same shit, so.... But the most disturbing thing is that Thunderbird works just fine :]

Are you running these commands from inside the firefox folder?

I'm not sure then. Try 'chmod a+x firefox' maybe?

nothing... I'm getting pissed off...

well, smth has moved... I downloaded GTK1 version ( the version i was writting about was GTK2) & it works! But.... I've good,new machine, so what can be wrong, and why I can't start GTK2 ver. ?!?!
