Firefox is very unstable

It seems when I load a page that has a script, flash, or an ad on it, the entire thing freezes up for a few seconds then I can browse as normal. It does it as it loads up a page... I don't have any add ons. I had nswrapper or whatever it's called to play flash movies, how would I go about removing that? Because I think that's what's making it freeze up.

try creating a new firefox profile and see if the problem goes away..

I have this same issue with Firefox in windows I would like to know if you find a solution.

How do I get rid of NSPlugin Wrapper? Could this be the reason for the lag?

I suspect it could be flash plug.

Well, I reinstalled nspluginwrapper and it made it quite a bit faster, just something to try for anyone else who has this problem

Sorry Dude - I wont recommend uninstalling Flash Plug in .

My firefox has been crashing - quite badly, it often logs me off in the process - but seems stable now that I removed the flash plugin: flash-plugin-9.0.115.0-release and libflashsupport-000-0.1.svn20070904.

I believe these are the culprits.

Does anyone know of anything NOT from Adobe to replace the plugin?

I reinstalled nsplugginwrapper and mine fixed itself.

On any of several recent Linux installs--many of which installed Flash automatically--I have not had any issues with FF/Flash.

I know this does not offer a solution, but maybe it gives hope that a solution exists.
