Firefox/Iceweasel - Image display options?

My current OS is Debian Lenny. My web-browsers include Linux Opera 10.01 and Iceweasel 3.06.

Opera give me the option to view or suppress images on each web-page after loading the page. It also lets me disable annoying Adobe Flash clips with a simple click.

Does firefox/iceweasel offer similar routines?

There are firefox add-ons that you can use to block flash and images. Try selecting "Add-ons" from the tools menu, then use the search function in the window that pops up.

Cheers,

EVo2.

PS. I'm using iceweasel 3.5, so your menu layout may be slightly different.

NoScript, Flashblock, AdBlock Plus will get rid of all of the annoying junk for you.

"Flashblock" had lots if documentation and worked "out-of-the box! "AdBlock Plus" was a greater challenge. I finally discovered how to use it, but suspect that it has many more features that remain to be discovered.

These two addons do all that I could hope for; I have yet to explore what "NoScript" has to offer!

Many thanks for the suggestions.
