Firefox geometry

I have just installed mozilla firefox 1.0.1 from slackware official package and found one problem with it. I would like the browser to start with size 800x600 but don't actually know how to make it work, with opera (which I've been using before it was quite easy because the only thing I had to do was to add one option while starting):

Code:
opera -geometry 800x600
Everything worked fine, with firefox it seems to be hard, or even about impossible .. would someone help?

There's probably a better solution, but I may have something for you to try:
I've noticed that Firefox always opens with the width and height that it had when it last closed (at least in Gnome). So you could try switching to screen resolution 800x600, then open Firefox in fullscreen. Now close firefox, go back to your prefered screen resolution, and hopefully Firefox will open with the size 800x600 from now on...

Yves.

I never did succeed in getting Firefox to open with the geometry I wanted.

In the end, I got around it by coding my usual window sizes into a "Resize" menu, which has actually worked out more useful, as it's available to all windows. But FF geom control from the CLI has always eluded me.
