Firefox: FEBE could not restore search plugins

On my recently installed Firefox, I restored everything through FEBE from another partition, but it did not work with the search engines.

I had to copy them by hand to the global searchplugins directory and change the permissions to 777 for Firefox to accept it; it is worth noting that it did not work copying them to my personal profile searchplugins directory. Now I have them all, although the order is scrambled.

I wonder if anybody can recommend a better way to transfer the searchplugins instead of the brute force method I have used this time.
