firefox crashes


i downloded the flash player to anbale video on my firefox3 ,but when i was told to copy the flashplayer file.so to the plugins directory under usr/lib/firefox3 i couldn't find this directory ,and my firefox crashes when i try to send any msg or email
so what should i do
hint: i deleted firefox before and reinstall it but didn't work
i'm using the RHEL5 distro
so please tell me what to do

copy libflashplayer.so to your /home/$USERNAME/.mozilla/plugin directory. If the plugin folder isn't there, then just create it.

This should work for ya

Thumbs down still having problems

the solution u suggest didn't work for me ????
plz can u suggest by detailed steps what should i do from the begining
and why mozilla didn't create directories by default while installing
should i remove firefox and install again
if so plz tell me exactly what to do ????
