firefox cant download


everytime i try to download a file with firefox i get this in the terminal(if i open it throguh a term otherwise i get nothing)

does anyone have any ideas what happened or what to do?

its a permissions problem not a firefox problem, now i just gotta figure out what hapened and why i cant write to my home dir.

I've started having the exact same problem. Did you ever figure it out? What's frustrating, is that unless you run it from the terminal you don't even get an error message. You click Save and then nothing. The process is running as me, and the directory I'm trying to save to is owned by me and has owner write permission. I'm clueless!

Please note:

1] This thread is over 2 years old - please don't resurrect "dead" threads.

2] AAnarchYY hasn't been back to LQ since Feb 2008. Hope he is OK.

3] You have omitted to tell us your distro version, version of FFox, what you have changed recently etc. Please do so, but in a new thread (hopefully with an appropriate title )
