Firefox calendar won't work, no components dir

Earlier I was having problems with firefox. I decided it'd be best to just wipe the installation and start over, so I deleted the firefox folder and deleted my ~/.mozilla folder.

I reinstalled and ran firefox and it recreated my ~/.mozilla folder and put some files inside, but no components directory or some of the others I remembered beign there before. Now when I try to install/run mozilla's calendar I get an error saying it's not registered properly and more specifically:

TypeError: Components.classes['@mozilla.org/ical-container;1']has no properties

I've tried everything recommended by the page it tells me to visit, but to no avail. I'm assuming that it needs something in the components directory, but it doesn't exist and It's not beign created, so I don't quite know what to do.

How can I fix this? Thanks in advance.
