Firefox, bookmarks from different sources?

It appears that Firefox retreives its bookmarks all from the bookmarks.html file in the profiles folder. I am wondering if there is a way to "graft" on additional file containing more bookmarks. For example, a folder on the Bookmarks Toolbar called Linux, retreives its bookmarks from a file called bookmarks_linux.html stored somewhere else in your home directory instead of from the bookmarks.html file.

well if you go bookmarks ->manage bookmarks then from that window file-> import. You can select to import additional bookmarks and it will add them to the ones in bookmarks.html.
