Firefox asks for password when Gaim checks hotmail email

Whenever I login to MSN using GAIM it allows me to open up my hotmail email. The browser it uses is Firefox. The problem is that hotmail always asks me to enter my password, even though on previous occaisons I have entered my password and told the web page to remember my address and password. However, when I just use Firefox to go to hotmail, without going through Gaim, it remember my password and takes me straight to my mail

You gave the solution in your question -- just use Firefox to go directly to hotmail. Otherwise, hotmail can't tell it's you.

Gaim passes, or at should pass, the username and password that it has stored to log me into MSN. My email gets passed but never the password, even tho after i type in the password i tell hotmail to remember both the address and password
