firefox and adobe snauf
a couple days ago i got onto pbs.org with firefox and could not watch anything because of adobe-flash complications. i'm using fedora and d'loaded the YUM page. after i re-exec'd firefox i got the same message from pbs.org.
can anybody clue me in? what do i need to yum remove or yum install. |
Adobe flash-plugin http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/
Please select Linux 64-bit or 32-bit. And select a version : YUM. Then install the downloaded repo package : # yum localinstall adobe-release-<arch>-1.0-1.noarch.rpm Next : # yum install flash-plugin . |
no success with firefox, adobe, and fedora
well, no luck. i tried more than six times--including removing firefox and re-installing. since the adobe flash was a separate installation, i have no idea how to remove that!
FWIW, here are the commands used: # yum localinstall adobe-release-x86_64-1.0-1.noarch.rpm Loaded plugins: langpacks, presto, refresh-packagekit Examining adobe-release-x86_64-1.0-1.noarch.rpm: adobe-release-x86_64-1.0-1.noarch adobe-release-x86_64-1.0-1.noarch.rpm: does not update installed package. Nothing to do # yum install flash-plugin Loaded plugins: langpacks, presto, refresh-packagekit Package flash-plugin-11.2.202.238-release.x86_64 already installed and latest version Nothing to do |
