Firefox 51.0.1 64bit & twitter video not working on Linux

As the header states: Firefox 51.0.1 64bit & twitter video not working on Linux.

What I have done so far and it still does not work.

1. Installed the latest Flash.so in /home/userx/.mozilla/plugins
ver. 24.0 r0

looked here

Chosen solution

Is Firefox using the Flash player or possibly the HTML5 media player?

Do you see the Shockwave Flash plugin context menu if you right-click?

If Flash isn't used the you can try to disable the HTML5 media player by setting these prefs to false on the about:config page.

media.directshow.enabled
media.windows-media-foundation.enabled
There is no such settings in about:config

If you're using Flashblock, whitelist twimg.com. This fixed the problem for me.
seen this solution adding flashblock then adding the address that twitter uses for the video to there whitelist. Does not work either.

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
That too did not work.

Does or has anyone gotten this problem and solved it?

what part of "does not work" didn't you understand? Better yet I actually stated
Code:
twitter video not working on Linux.
what more do I need to add to that? I cannot see the video playing because it is not working? along with everything I did to try and get the video working, flash, etc... just saying....

when something is not working what is the fist thing you tell that other person?

hey johnny it is not working.
what do you mean it is not working?
just what I said, It is not working..
did you push the button?
yeah, it's not working.
why?
How the hell am I suppose to know?

that's how that conversion goes.

I do not know what I did - though it seems to be working now without having to delete my profile directory. So I will mark it solved for now.
