Well, I don't get these anymore, maybe since I replaced flash with gnash ? Possibly.

Hei HeyMull, thank you for your follow up. A couple of months ago I bought a new machine, and after unsuccessfully trying Ubuntu I decided to end my five-year-Linux-adventure and made room for an all-XP-installation. I haven't had big breakdowns or datalosses yet, so I don't regret this decision at all. My old notebook still gets significantly hotter when running Firefox, but I haven't used it for two months now.
Though, my new Dell XPS M1530 CPU & GPU regularly runs into 70 degrees Celsius while doing "nothing" (e-mail & office) ...
Best regards
Ungua

Ubuntu Linux still working here...
...on my 4 year old Acer laptop. In fact the old big problem of wireless was fixed when Ubuntu 9.04 made it run immediately, including Acer's external amber-lighted wireless button. It operates the same as it does on WinXP now. Except Ubuntu boots up in 1/3 the time, and shuts down in 1/10 the time as WinXP, so I stay in Linux all the time EXCEPT for two things: I am a "jogger", and my Garmin GPS wrist-tracker program does not run in Linux, even under Wine; and Picasa (Google photo program) does not run as well under Linux, so I use it in WinXP mostly.
What did not work OK on your new Dell, with Ubuntu? My business laptop is a 1-year old Dell Inspiron 9400 and it has no problems with Ubuntu 9.04. Was it a missing driver in your new Dell laptop?
Cheers, Emil (Heymull)
