Firefox 3.0.10: right click for menu, sometimes het AdBlock or Properties window

Hi there,

Strange thing I've gotten used to with Linux Firefox. Quite often when I right click to save a PDF file or open a link in a new tab, I won't get the popup list to select 'SAVE FILE' from. Instead, I might get a Properties Window, or an AdBlock window to offer the option to block an ad, etc.

There seems to be no order to what option comes up.

Has anyone experienced something like this?

Thanks,
Petey

All you are doing are double clicking your right mouse key.

If you take a look at the menu you get when you right click
you will see that the things you say open all are on the list.

And you might have noticed that the menu don't appear at the same place two times in a row therefore random order of what is selected.

The right-click (at least on my FFx 3.5 beta4) is context-sensitive. The menu you get by right-clicking depends on what exactly you're right clicking on. Right-clicking on this text box which I'm using to compose this message, gives me a totally different menu from clicking on, say, an image.
This is FFx's way of being helpful.

Hi there,

Perhaps I need to add more detail.

I'm single clicking, not double clicking. If I'm over an image to save, a right click will sometimes pop open a properties description box, not the menu or an option to save. Over a linked PDF and again I'll often get something not connected to what i'm requesting (almost as if at times a random choice from the right-click context-sensitive list if being auto-selected). It also seems that that when I right-click a text link near the start of the text on the line, I get more success than in the middle, etc.

P.S. How do you reduce the repeating rate when holding down a key? hhhhhhhhhh to slow that down as that's happening accidentally at times.

Happy Sunday.

Cheers,
Petey
