Firefox 1.5 and SCIM?

Apparently, Firefox 1.5 final is actually just Firefox 1.5 RC3.

Does SCIM still cause FF1.5 to crash upon startup?

Yes, it does. Very annoying.

I have a clean install of FC4, where I started from scratch. YUM upgraded my FF to 1.0.7. I'm afraid to try installing any newer version.

I have installed SCIM 1.4.4 and added it to my Gnome panel. Now, the problem is if I want to "add/remove" languages--there aren't any listed to add.

Does anyone know how to fix this?
