firefox 0.9.3 probs in FC2

I' am facing a peculiar problem while using firefox 0.9.3 in Fedora Core 2 that I have not faced in other distros in which I have used firefox.
The problem is that, if i try to execute firefox as a normal user, then nothing happens. If i type firefox in konsole, then the $ prompt returns and the browser does not start. But, if I login as root or use su or sudo, then firefox will load and I can browse the net. But, this I don't want to do as it is a security risk.

The same is the problem with mozilla. But, this is not the case with 'Thunderbird'
So, what is the reason for this problem and what is it's solution or bug-fix?
Kindly help.

Well, I found out the reason and the solution to this problem by myself. The problem was that the .mozilla directory in the home directory was somehow created by root. May be Mozilla was accidentally run is superuser mode. So, I was not able to run it as a normal user, but was able to run as superuser. So, the solution was to remove .mozilla directory as superuser. Then, run mozilla/firefox as normal user. Voila! It worked and the problem is solved.
Simple Problem. Simple Solution. Only thing is that I realised it late ;-)
