Unhappy Firefox 0.9.1 speed problems

Now, I know this sounds suprising, but Firefox 0.9.1 is running pretty sluggishly for me. I'm using Fluxbox 0.9.9 as my WM, and I'm enabling all the tweaks that I've found (the export LIBGTK trick). By the way, when I say sluggishly, I mean that, for example, when I change tabs, it takes a second for the tab to change, and for a moment I see an artifact from the old tab. I have 512 MB of RAM, so I shouldn't have any hardware problems. Any suggestions?

Bummer that no-one has posted a solution here. I see same prob on my FreeBSD setup. And am nearly convinced it is the hardware (*BSD forum). What video card/chipset are you on? Have you tried another WM?
