Question Firebird and Java / Flash

This is lame, but I can't get Firebird to recognize Applets or SWFs. I have the generic Mozilla flash plugin installed (which doesn't even work in Mozilla), and I have JRE 1.4, and have linked the plugin from Firebird's main directory.

Any clues / pointers / step by steps?

more information would be good.

Does the plugin appear when you type
in the URL bar?

What did you link it to in the plugin directory? The newest version of j2re contains two different possibilities for the thing.

about colon plugins gave me all the clues I needed - turns out I need to download a new JRE. It needs JRE 1.4.2 and I only have 1.4. Sigh.
