finding local IP address

Heya
this should be a simple one to answer, is there a command that is simmalar to the windows command IPCONFIG ?

im using mandrake with a DHCP assigned address but for some strange reason the address does not show from the mandrake controll center, besides id rather know how to do it from the command line incase i dont have a gui to help me.
Oh yeah, and because the mandrake control center takes so darn long to load

thankyou
