Finally...No troubleshooting Questions

I've been working with SUSE 9.1 for a few weeks now and I'm really hooked on Linux. I'm enjoying the Shell sessions, its such an awesome concept. Any how.
I'd like some help.

I have a dual boot system with WIN XP as my primary drive (20GB) and a 6GB secondary drive running SUSE 9.1 personal.

I plan on removing windows completely and replacing it with linux but I'm unsure which version to use.

How difficult of a project would this be for a newbie?
Is it as easy as it sounds...Simply a matter of installing a new distribution over windows?

Any hints or tips, suggestions are appreciated.

You have to change your partition's file system as linux can't be installed on a windows file system. All distros have a utility you can change them with in the installation and depending on your distro it can be easier/harder (for example I think mandrake changed it automatically while for debian you have to manually do it) to understand. I'd recommend reading a bit on partition editing and the setup manuals of your distro

I appreciate your response.
I've decided to try Mandrake.
