File to put database parameters

Hi,
Few days ago, I did put the database parameters into one file inside /etc, in the Red hat server. But now I have forgotten which file it is. Which file in /etc should we used to put database parameters?

Many Thanks & Best Regards,
HuaMin

Hi,

is this about mysql configuration? If so it is most likely /etc/my.cnf
If not please provide more information about what database you are using what you were doing and why.

No, it is for Oracle database and I am not sure which file it is.

Since oracle database doesn't even come with RHEL it would have been useful to provide that information to begin with.

Why were you editing this file? Were you following some instructions? If so check the instructions again.
