File size in ext3
 
I found that the max. file size in ext2 is about 2.1GB

How about the max. file size in ext3?

I don't think file size has anything to do with file type.
I think it depends on the Kernel.

For the 2.4 kernel with ext2/ext3 systems I think its around 2 terrabytes. A google search would help you.

who is using ONE file with 2.1 gb though? ;) dunno what its in ext3

no doubt that ext3 is a good bit larger...
