File Recovery from linux formatted partition


Hi all
Its very urgent.Please help me.
In my system I had a Fedora Core 5 with XP dual boot. Also some files were there in the Fedora linux partition. Later I re-installed the fedora 5 linux formatting the previous linux partition. Is there any way to recover my old linux files? Are there any tools available for me to get the files back.
Please help me . its very urgent

Welcome to LQ. Not to scold, but while I'm sure the issue is important to resolve, it is not "urgent" to the LQ community -- everyone here is volunteering to try to help out fellow Linux users, and all questions have the same priority here.

Regarding your question, you might look into using foremost. Good luck with it
