File execution issue

Hey, I'm trying to root my Android phone using www.cydiaimpactor.com, obviously since I'm on Linux I can't just open up an .exe file and viola GUI, so I downloaded the Linux x64 version obviously, and can't seem to use it? The files included in the tarball were:

Impactor(.exe)
Impactor.so
Impactor.dat
libudev.so.0

Help?

It's legal. I just need help executing the files

If you want to install exe files on linux, you need to install wine first.
But it does not work for ALL exe files.

what error do you get when you run the Impactor program ? what is it supposed to do ?

when i rooted my nexus i downloaded a custom recovery and ran

adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
