Few Misc Questions - Please Read

Hey guys I've been having this long battle as to which distro to use. I thought I was good with Suse 10.1, had everything working and then all of a sudden my usb wouldn't work. So now, I am on to FC5. I have a few questions that I would be grateful if anyone could help me out.

1. I got ndiswrapper working. How can I have it and NetworkManager to run a boot-up.

2. I have an ati card inside this laptop. I tried to install the drivers and when rebooted the x server couldn't load (i've installed the drivers on other distros no-prob) I then tried to tell the x server to use vesa and the laptop kept freezing on the splash screen. I had to uninstall the drivers and no it boots up fine no-prob. but I'm stuck with 600x800 resolution and it is driving me insane. How can I either A. get the drivers to work. Or, B. get a better resolution and 3d acceleration (my card does support it)

3. This one is a classic... No sound... can't seem to find an alsaconf either...

If anyone could help me with any of these 3 problems I'd be very grateful.. Thanks in advanced....

I'm not sure does that show us anyhting?

It tells me that your ALSA packages are out of date--I use Debian Etch, and my alsaconf worked for me (I have the same sound hardware).

It also tells me that your ATI card is pretty new. You may wish to download ATI's drivers from their website instead of through an RPM.
