.fetchmailrc env variable


Is there a way to use env variables in .fetchmailrc ?

To the best of my understanding--and I'm not an expert, just an enthusiastic hobbyist--environment variables belong to terminal programs, such as BASH, and not to scripts, such as fetchmailrc.

If I'm wrong, I trust someone will come along and correct me.

ok, thanks. it seems to work with relative paths, so there's no need for $HOME.
