fetchmail v. getmail
 

I have a few different mail accounts and I want to set up getmail or fetchmail to run every few minutes and download them all to my own mail-server which runs postfix (but with maildir folders) which I'll then access through courier-imap.

What're the differences between fetchmail and getmail? Advantages and disadvantages of each, etc. At the very least, I need secure pop access, support for maildir layout, ability to leave messages on the server (as opposed to deleting them), and ability to not mangle headers.

Ideally I'd also like the software to handle yahoo accounts automatically; if not, I'd appreciate software recommendations for this as well---I tried fetchyahoo once a long time ago and didn't get it to work (in the ten minutes I gave it).
