fetchmail

I setted up fetchmail and it works great. I can connect externaly and get mail. However, there is a problem. I need to trigger it (type fetchmail in console or use webmin option) for it to actually check the servers.

Right now I have it set so it checks every 15 minutes, but the problem with that is 1: it's wasting bandwidth, and 2: if I'm sending emails back and forth with someone I need to manually do the fetchmail.

So is there a way to make it so when I check mail on the server, it automaticly does a fetchmail too?

Also, how do I setup a local pop3 acount? I want to be able to read emails from "root" and such but not sure how to set them up as pop3 accounts. Thanks!
