Fedora/Mozilla Plugins

Fedaora is pretty new so I hope some one has come across this and found a solution. I've done this a million times on other Distro's, but it's just not working on Core 1. Flash and Java are the 2 that I'm trying to get working. I've symlinked to every possible directory from the originals.

/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins
/usr/lib/mozilla-1.4.1/plugins
/home/jon/.mozilla/plugins
/root/.mozilla/plugins

Downloaded and installed Netcape and they don't work with that either.
I've chmoded 777, u+x, symlinked, directly copied, changed owner and group permissions..

I don't get it. This is one of the easiest things to do. The only verbose feedback that I have gotten was from netscape...

[root@HAL9000 netscape-installer]# LoadPlugin: failed to initialize shared library /usr/local/netscape/plugins/libflashplayer.so [libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory]

Something is definately screwy with locations of core lib files on Fedora. The LibGL files are not supposedly were they should be. Ran into that trying to install the Nvidia driver. The Kernel was complied with 3.2 but the environment variable is set to 3.3.......

Anyway.... Any help would be most apprecieated. Thanks all.

O.k... Got the Java issue taken care of as well. Hopefully this thread will be of value to others...

I had downloaded a java version j2re-1_4_1_03-fcs-linux-i586.rpm a while ago and was using that.

I can't even find that on Sun now..... It worked just fine with RedHat 9.........

I downloaded version j2re-1_4_2_02-linux-i586.rpm about a half hour ago and installed that once I removed the old one. They now have a plugin folder labeled "ns610-gcc32"... Makes sense now that I found out The latest Mozilla was built with gcc3.2....

Ah... Linux is always an adventure.... I also never had to install those libs for Flash on RedHat.....
