Fedora: Error creating folders or writing to files

Hello
I am a newbie to the unix world and have been experiencies some problems in terms of FTPing with creating directories and overwriting files.

When I ftp into our webserver and try to modify or create files/folders I get

I get errors

1) 451 unable to write to disk
2) 451 unable to write to file
3) Unable to create directory

I can modify but yet cannot create new directories or upload files ontop of old ones.
Please help.

Check the FTPd's log for errors, that could show you what's the problem more clearly. If it's a permission problem find out *why* the dirs are write-protected, if providing (anonymous) users with write capabilities is going to be a security risk and if not change the daemons config and restart it. If it's not a permission problem you best post the name+version of the FTP daemon along with the config.
