Fedora dont save the changes. What about other distros?
Hello.
I am new to linux.
I made a pendrive boot fedora 11 instalation with unetbootlinux
So, I can boot fedora 11 from my usm memory easy and fast. That seems great, But Fedora doesnot save the changes I have made. Is there distro that save all changes I do? O Fedora save them too, but I dont know how.
Any advice?
What it is exactly that you want Fedora to save? Fedora is basically a distribution, and it's not Fedora that saves anything, but always the tools that are installed for a specific task. Maybe you rae missing one or more tools to get it right.
Ok, I will try to explain better with my bad english what I want to do.
I want ot have fedora or ubuntu or mepis. One of them in my usb memory. When I boot it, and if I made changes, like install programs, or adjust them, I want to save the changes in the usb memory, so if I boot it in another computer I can use the same OS in another computer with all changes I have done before.
Can I do that with Live Usb creator? Or I need another tool for that?
I tried with fedora liveusb-creator and was the same.
It boots, but when I make changes in the system, next time I boot, these changes are not saved in the usb memory.
I havenot got options. Just I can choose iso file or to download Fedora.
I choosed download fedora, and automaticly the program downloaded the program and install it in my usb memory. But as I said, doesnot save changes I do.
Yes, I will be happy.
I want to put in my usm memory ubuntu, mepis, fedora and Suse
What is your experiens? If I made changes in one computer and then I go to another computer and then I go to another computer, the system is still stable?
HI
I have 4GB usb, but I think to get one 16GB soon
No gnome? I know KDE is big, but gnom is not light windows manager?
Or you mean xfce?
Do I have to use diferent creator for ubuntu, sidux, fedora, puppy?
