Fedora Core swap with other OS, no physical access. Installation possibilities?

Hello,

I currently administer some server hosted at an external company. My boss wants me to put windows server 2003 on one of the servers in order to run a .NET application. I have no physical access to the servers (the are 1 and 1 root servers) , and was wondering if anyone knew of a way to install the new os on there. Thanks!

Hi, r00tsec.

One thing I should probably mention is that you'd probably be better off looking on Microsoft's website for Windows-related questions.

That said, I know it's possible to install Windows 2000 (and probably 2003) Server over a network. The problem I see is that in order to have a network, you need to have an operating system running to support it. When you reformat your hard drive in order to put W2k3 Server on it, you'll kill whatever network connection you might have had (along with the old operating system). I would suggest finding somebody there who will put the installation disk into the drive and press only the buttons you tell him until it's got a network connection up and running, and then you could take it from there.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. Good luck.
