Fedora Core 5, Ubuntu version #? no boot on fc5

Howdy

sorry I have not been on these forums lately. I have had a really, really bad first semester in college. But, Im back, and would like some advice:

I have a double ide drive setup, Primary master, ubuntu version number i have no clue. I'll get it for you asap. Primary slave, Fedora Core 5, single partition, grub should be on the mbr on that drive. Ubuntu will boot, but not fedora. as soon as I can i will give you what i can find of my conf files and stuff, such as grub and stuff, but any advice you're willing to give me at the moment I will gladly consider

Thanks

Easiest way is if you stuff the FC GRUB in it's own /boot partition you can point Ubuntu's GRUB to FC's one with the "rootnoverify" and "chainloader +1" args. Since you installed FC's GRUB in the MBR I think you'll have to resort to the trick that hides the first HD and activates the second ("makeactive"?).
