Fedora Core 5 Network Install?
I know that suse is easily installed off of ftp servers, I would like to install fedora core 5 in the same way because my CD-RW's only hold 650mb, witch is not enuff for the fedora disk's.... thanks for all help

I don't belive there is a fedora core network install. You're probably better off buying a pack of 700meg CD-Rs.

To do a network FC1/2/3/4/5 install (or just about any new or used redhat derivative), you can boot with either the first installation CD or with the RescueCD (very small) and specify askmethod (boot: linux askmethod).
A few questions in, you will be given several source options, including ftp. From that point on, it works like a regular installation.

were do I find a rescue disk, since the first install disk is too big for my cd-rw's, does the rescue disk have an istall option like the install cd? how do you use it
?

For i386, you need to burn FC-5-i386-rescuecd.iso. It’s only 75MiB.
For example: ftp://limestone.uoregon.edu/fedora/5...6-rescuecd.iso

ok do I need to find a mirror, if so were do I look. for them.... and does it launch the standard installer because I'm framiliar with it and I'm also somewhat of a noob
