Fedora core 3 and UT2k4

hey there!

i've got a problem with my ut2k4 on my fedora linux core 3 system.
everytime when i try to start the game i'll get the following message:

code:
Xlib: extension "XFree86-DRI" missing on display ":0.0".
WARNING: ALC_EXT_capture is subject to change!
Couldn't set video mode: Couldn't find matching GLX visual

History:

Exiting due to error

i've already loaded the GLX-module in /etc/X11/xorg.conf
i'm also using the actual glx-driver for the graphiccard.
can anyone help?

sys-specs:
AMD Athlon XP 3200+
512 MB DDR 400 RAM
ATI Radeon 9600 pro (256 MB)
Fedora Linux Core 3
Kernel 2.6.9-1.667
X.org 6.8.1 X-Server
GNOME 2.8.0

just ask for more informations about the system.

greets,

Gabriel

this means you dont have to ati drivers installed/loaded with XFree/XOrg

If you dont have them then you need to fo to ATI and download the fglrx drivers and install them...when installed dont bother running fglrxconfig instead just edit the xorg.conf file and change the driver from something like radeon to fglrx.

youll know its working if you run fglrxinfo and it gives info on your card.

Goodluck

when you install you may need to force the rpm to install over Mesa stuff

I did this by using rpm -i --force <rpmname> and seems to work fine...not sure if this corrupts anything but seems to be working fine...
